BRING ME TO YES2009

The Youth Engagement Summit (YES2009) is a conference not to be missed, and I with knees, palm and head on the floor want to attend it! With only 500 limited tickets and over 7000 other youths who want it not as bad as I do, the odds are in my favor (with a lot of faith behind me).

This 2-day summit which is hosted in Kuala Lumpur this November, brings together some of the most inspiring, engaging Global Change Icons including Sir Bob Geldof the founder of Live Aid and Live8, Biz Stone the co-founder of Twitter, Randi Zuckerberg Director of market development at Facebook, Dato' Seri Tony Fernandes Malaysian entrepreneur and founder of Air Asia, Garry Kasparov Russian living legend of chess and many more.

We’re looking to put together the SEA CHANGE Youth Report contributed by 1 million youth to share with 10 Global Change Icons at YES2009. So come and contribute.

This is kinda true.

I've never been a believer in quizzes that try to tell your personality, cause for one most of it is a whole load of B.S. and two, it's just so pathetic if you can't distinguish what you are as a person and have to resort to everything else besides yourself to tell you who you are.

However, this one surprises me and is actually quite true.  Plus, it has 'psychological' backing to why you pick certain answers. You should try it, my recommendation:

Know Yourself Better

My view of myself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties. (i don't want to be bragging but it's kinda true!)

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes. (oh so agreed!)

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you meet that person. (hmm... now that they've mention it, yeah i agree!)

Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates. (that's always a good thing heh)

You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job. (hell yes to practicality!)

Mercedes Month #1

          It's been a blend of many small experiences so far in this intimidating company - and this being my first real job. In the blend are the typical new people you meet at work, the "Good Morning’s" with a mug of coffee/milo in your hand (the only source of heat), while you walk to your ‘workstation’ constantly reminding yourself what day it is, just counting the days before it reaches that elusive Friday all over again, although you have counted it since the moment you woke up.

And I’ve discovered, evidently, many working-class people have problems counting 7 days in a week. Weird.

          Besides the obvious, I’ve been learning about the business, analyzing competition and sales figures, cold calling and driving a few E-classes and S-class around – haven’t yet sat in a C-class and just dying to test the new ‘E’ this year-end! So, everything’s quiet facile at the moment and I'm really just been sailing on calm tides.

Although moments like these are generally short-lived.

Creed Is Back!

 Need the title say more?

After three multi-platinum albums selling 35 million records worldwide and 6 YEARS later; I can't be happier of their return (it's about time). I'm thinking this definitely tops “Blink’s reunion” although both have good sentimental nostalgia to me but Creed being the first song I illegally downloaded, it's quite special to me in that way, it was ‘My Sacrifice’ fyibtw and their songs were part of my teenage-life or lifelessness while growing up.
