In 5 days…

In exactly 5 days, it’ll be Earth Hour:

On 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney businesses turned off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour. If the greenhouse reduction achieved in the Sydney CBD during Earth Hour was sustained for a year, it would be equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year.

With Sydney icons like the Harbour Bridge and Opera House turning their lights off, and unique events such as weddings by candlelight, the world took notice. Inspired by the collective effort of millions of Sydneysiders, many major global cities are joining Earth Hour in 2008, turning a symbolic event into a global movement
- earthhour.org

I urge everyone wherever you are in the world, to participate in this free, simple but nature-altering global event. Simply flick a switch off anything electronical: lights, TV, computer, air-cond, etc. for an hour.

This Saturday, March 29 2008, 8.00 - 9.00pm (your local time)

You are not alone, at every time zone, Earth Hour will commence
ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

Get involve, spread the news because everyone of you…
makes the difference.

SUNBURST KL 08

Phew..! Just finished major exams and assignments, and i’m free for this weekend… (only!) very short lived rest, but one well needed. Argh... it’s so hard to get the blogging momentum back once you’ve lost it!

Okay, so the title says it all and there isn’t a need for any more description. What you need to know though, that it was one GIGANTABOMBTASTICAMAZINGNIGHT!

Anyway you wouldn’t want to hear me brag, tell you how sad you are if you’ve missed it and that you should die of regret and just end your life because life has become insignificant the moment after Sunburst right? =P

But me and steph were only there from 9pm onwards, not sure what happened the hours before… but still had gigantabombtasticamazing fun, too bad the games (we sooo wanted to try) were closed already. (oh i can feel my brags coming...)

And so, the pictures:

Baby p1i left

I LOST MY BABY OF ONLY 3 MONTH OLD !!!

How ill fortune is that?

It all started when I had a trial for a gym, went there a few times to test out the facilities. All this while, I have never brought my phone along, but WEIRDLY I did this time. I placed my phone inside the locker and not in my bag (big mistake no.1). Done with my gym, I was in a hurry… took my bag and left, not holding a moment to check back (big mistake no.2).

Got home, realized it’s gone. Called the gym, they went through the lockers, all they found was a new empty bag that they gave me but forgot to take that back as well! (plain stupid mistake no.1) I was seriously out of my mind that time, you know sometimes you have those rare moments where everything around you is just a blur? I had one of those.

Anyway, I went back there myself but to no avail. It seems Steph called me while my phone was MIA, she said this really typical malay-speaking-guy picked up the MY PHONE mumbled something and Steph replied… Sorry, wrong number” LMAO. Realizing that couldn’t be, she tried calling back but couldn’t get through no more. The only typical malay-speaking-guy there is the janitor, so obviously he took it.

But of course all this would have helped if I knew about it early… which I didn’t until I got back home AGAIN... SIGH! Plus it was really late, 11.45pm.

And well, my dad totally lost faith in me, cause it seems to him I “ALWAYS lose expensive things”. The last time I had a nice phone,
I got robbed -.-' hello?

Just constant bad luck with nice stuff I owned. Sigh, im destine for old junks like a Nokia 3310 only man. (even though old junks in the end die on me too).

BUT I seriously took extra good care of this baby! My love for her was immeasurable! She was everything I wanted in a phone and so much more! The good times we had, the quiet nights in my room just me & her (LOL okay… but you get my point right?)

YES IT’S THAT BAD.

*RIP*

lol okay lah... not that bad lah
im gonna buy my baby back again!
I accept your kind & compassionate donations too! =P

PAWS Subang

[added pictures]

Went to PAWS with Steph and 4 other familiar people from my department to help out (super dog lovers we are!). Everyone came ready in slipper & shorts except for me, cuz you see… I wasn’t really predicting to actually “work” there. Thought we’d just go there to look around, pet the puppies and go home ended up being unexpected volunteer work instead.

Unprepared, but I still worked hard with love, sweat and tears baby! lol

Steph did hard work too...

We got to walk a few dogs, sadly not all of them…

poopings...

getting draggedddd...

aww...

Being there and watching every one of those dogs in cages was seriously saddening, all of them set to live for only 6 months. You see them running towards you and jumping onto the fence, eyes piercing yours somehow telling you of their yearning for human care, love and hope.

Okay, I suck at expressing this, no words seem to fit right with my feelings now… the thing is, it’s the whole experience that you have to absorb to actually feel it too.

Do go help out... (i won't say "...if you can" because then, most of you 'cannot') if you're human. Or better yet, go adopt them!

Some of the many… sorry I couldn’t post all of them

It take a little more effort to actually get up and go there...
but for what it's worth, it was more.

10000 B.C. Movie

10000 B.C. first show on the first day full of eager excitement of the two “Ass-es” Shawn & Steph (ok lame lol) blew out in a lot of steam SIGH. Cinema hanged for 1/2 hour, probably still unwrapping the new 10000 B.C. film, weird cinema lights going on & off and weirder serial killer beside steph fidgeting.

The Movie?
CHEESY Braveheart-like story in dinosaur times but don’t be mistaken, it isn’t a documentary like the ones you see on Discovery Channel (worst I would say), this has an adventure, a plot and very much fantasy-filled with spirit/witchcraft and prehistoric animals that are able to express gratitude after you saved them (literally man!) not forgetting an “intense” drama love story!

The story familiarly revolves around this Moses-like character trying to save his one and only love of his life (I know, cheesy… I told you!) and to save his people from being enslaved to building pyramid forever and ever which he should have had a line saying:

“Let my people go! (and the other tribes too)”

but didn’t =(

In a nutshell: It’s a cheap cheesy, expected, Moses + Braveheart prehistoric love story adventure! Evolet's pretty though, can't go wrong there. =)

Hillary/Obama Spoof

So much hype and tension on the news about the coming elections, and I’m not talking bout Barisan National, DAP or PAS nope, not that. The one that got most of the world’s eyes and attention fixed on, mainly revolving around DEMOCRATS' Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton.

But let’s just take time, cool the strains and enjoy a lil spoof off Rihanna’s Umbrella:

Hillary Clinton ft. Barack Oba
ma – Obama

♫ "the polls have me in the lead, but your pole's the only one I need"

LMAO

Ok... this is so badly cheesy, that it’s disturbingly funny!
But that’s not the only thing funny, look who directed the video…

Heidi Klum and Seal...?

What? I know… weird huh? Doesn’t really add up…!

BUT Okay i'll stop here... don't want myself to get started on the hot Heidi Klum/VS Angel *drools* hehe

The Yogi Tree

Situated at The Gardens Midvalley 1st floor
is a yoga boutique/restaurant, which explains its explicit peaceful ambiance.

Was there with steph,
Let's start with their interesting MENU: they had these smaller green color scribbles and arrows around the pages feeding you facts of some of their specialties, telling the stuff they use, and especially how healthy it was: perfect for the *health-conscious us*lol and just different from your average menu info.

The food, I’ll give it 7 out of 10… nice, but I had better. It surprised me though that they gave our food in hot plates! You know the ones you find in very few restaurants and only in some hotels… but those were just warm, these were HOT. There’s a difference. HOT not enough to injure you of course, but HOT enough to get noticed and I was just in awe, food on hot plates man lol!

Ok, weird why I took so much attention to hot plates at that time, but I was bragging the entire time to steph about it lol.

The one thing though that I have to give extra credit is they had the best of services! Till it was a little disturbing, having waiter/waitress come and seemingly peep at your table from a far every freaking 5 minutes we were there just to see if there is anything… ANYTHING AT ALL that they can service you with. “Stop watching me!” was appropriate back then lol.

Desserts: 9 out of 10, delicious baby!

Price tag per person: RM40+ (for lunch? Not a good idea… but probably because it was at The Gardens)

Overall: Good ambience & amazing service, pricey but acceptable without deserts and still worth the experience.
