Side tracking from my aussie trip.
Little fact: HELP Uni couldn’t offer the program that we
(4 other friends and me) wanted at its main campus, as a consequence shifting us over to their negligible
'other campus'. Checked it out a month before, wasn’t too happy =/
Anyway,
First official day today at that seemingly God-forsaken place was surprisingly way better than predicted, probably because I expected something unattainably low. (Which is always good, cause then anything couldn’t have gotten any lower/worst).
But that wasn’t in terms of the literal place itself that made it all better, though I need a little getting used to, but no biggie. The differences in fact are in the people, another surprise.
The people here are by large FRIENDLY, but there is always that one person that has to stands out and start to annoy me already, but that can happen anywhere.
To You: Pfft… don’t be coming up to us faking your curiosity in trying to know us, as if it really mattered to you… when all you want is to feed your inexistent ego by trying to get our undivided attention into your “cool-friendliness”, “i-know-everyone-ness” or even your sad… sad dancing.
Please, I saw your obvious big-headed façade coming my way the moment I regrettably laid eyes on you =/
On a happier note, again, YEAH people here are largely friendly, nice and conversable especially for me, happily thinking I wouldn’t have to dig into my vastly empty mandarin dictionary… just yet.
The lecturers here in general… trump most lecturers back at HELP hands down, although I have yet to see the bad ones and well, it’s only been a day… but for first impressions, it was dead on target :)
Contentedly looking forward to another day there.
Ooo… this is gonna be good =D
