The follow up from KU:

_______________________________________________________________

Dear Mr. Quah:

I just wanted to express my gratitude to the students in your class who took on my University of Kansas visit as their marketing project. While the young woman on the team had to leave before I had a chance to sit down with the group and talk, I had a wonderful and inspiring conversation with Arun, Shawn, Wong Chi, Wong Fu, and Edric. They truly did a wonderful job with their posters, institutional research, contacting a Malaysian student at KU to get a testimonial from a "real" enrolled international student at our institution, etc.

Furthermore, they were at the office to greet me, make me feel welcome, and in general, brought an energy to the room and to the event that was unparalleled in my three weeks on the road. I was truly blown away by their efforts, their enthusiasm, the extent of their market research, their follow-through, and their involved and caring approach. In terms of the group dynamic, I might also add that each student participated in my visit equally, both pounding the campus pavement to bring in students to meet with me, and to make sure my visit was a successful one. I have no doubt that the overwhelming response I received (I stayed for nearly two extra hours) was due to their efforts.

Best Wishes and congratulations on inspiring such a wonderful group of students. They have clearly taken your lessons to heart and are learning how to apply their classroom knowledge in the "real" world quite adeptly. I will remember my visit to HELP with great fondness.

Sincerely,
Charles A.S. Bankart
