My favorite owl no doubt has to be the Barn Owl (Tyto Alba). Its white, heart-shaped face and dark eyes are unmistakable and unique among the owl family. As white, pure and innocent as it looks, yet it has very contrasting appearances as it has also been commonly named the "Demon Owl" or "Ghost Owl" for it's somewhat ghostly gaze. The ability to look innocent yet ghostly at the same time, is a distinctive gift only the Barn Owl has and that's why it's my favorite owl!
Besides that, if many of you have not taken noticed, the Barn Owls are featured as the main characters in Legend of the Guardians! A good reason to watch my favorite owl in full 3D animation! :)
