I am my very own test subject.

_

I just had the freshest-of-air blown right at me, a metaphor really. I came into 2010, exactly 2 days ago not having any New Year resolutions, plans nor expectation. But somehow, that divine breath of fresh air did ignite some feelings of anticipation for 2010; it’s gonna be a 'stirring year' I believe.

Looking back, 2009 has been one huge year of discerning myself further, further than I knew I could. Both deliberately and inadvertently putting myself in positions that I wouldn’t probably be in, to some extend affecting others, positively and maybe negatively too, well, some things we do are unintentionally double-edged swords. Although, nothing too extreme I assume, constantly evaluating and reflecting my every course of action sturdily the entire time. It is almost as if to scrutinize myself, all for the benefit of a self diagnosis. I am my very own test subject.

And my simplified conclusion that I came about myself can be summed in a quote from Peggy Tabor Millin which states:

" We never touch people so lightly, that we do not leave a trace."
-Peggy Tabor Millin

Which gives rise to the connotation that our acts no matter how diminutive do have effect on others. A trace you probably wish would be a good one to others.
