Pump up?

The new price for petrol from the current RM1.92 to RM2.70 per litre will be effective by midnight tonight, a 40% increase. Cars packing petrol stations nation-wide will probably be the headline of every newspaper tomorrow, unless of course this issues is already common to us.

But it has never really struck me hard enough to deliberately go out to pump my last tank of petrol before a price spike, never really bother to anyway.

Gas station hub near my area: Mobil, Shell and Petronas

continuation of the queue from picture one...

Mobil decides to close.

Well, all for the right reasons don’t you think?
Cause, is it really worth all your trouble and effort to queue those mile-long lines, waiting in the car long enough till words like 'regret' stroll across your mind over and over again?

And if you did manage to endure the brawl of thirsty cars… you emerge out slowly from that station with so much sense of achievement that you wind down the window and smile, while others in line watch in envy as you drive away (slowly...) with your now completely full tank of yesterday's petrol price!

Give yourself a pat on the back my friend… you deserve it :)

Whhhaeeeaatt? For real? NO.

How much can you get out from that last full tank of petrol? Considering a short-term value?
(maybe... but it's not long enough to even call it short!)

It’s just a spur of the moment that drives panic into everyone. If they were giving free flows of petrol or that gasoline has officially vanish from the earth… that would be a different story.

Lol. I didn't do this either. Was supposed to go out for dinner with a friend but she called me asking me not to leave the house! =X
